User accounts to access the CDX products are restricted to carriers and their authorized data reporters. If you are a carrier or a Third Party Administrator (TPA) and your organization is already utilizing the CDX products, you will need to contact your Insurer/TPA Primary Administrator to obtain a user account. If you do not know who your Insurer/TPA Primary Administrator is, please contact CDX Central Support.
Insurer Primary Administrators
Each carrier that is approved by a DCO to use the CDX system is required to set up an administrator. This Insurer Primary Administrator is responsible for creating and managing additional CDX user accounts for your carrier and configuring file transmission and communication preferences. Management of user access and configuration across multiple carriers belonging to the same carrier group is supported through the use of Insurer User Management Groups (UMGs) in CDX.
How do I request an Insurer Primary Administrator Account?
If your carrier has never been set up in CDX, please complete the User Management Group (UMG) Insurer Primary Administrator application form and CDX Central Support will contact you with further instructions.
If your carrier already has an Insurer Primary Administrator and your carrier needs this access switched to a different individual, that individual will need a CDX user account before proceeding. Once the CDX user account is setup, log into CDX, select the Admin | Requests | Primary Admin menu option and follow the instructions on the screen.
Third Party Administrator (TPA) Primary Administrator
Carriers sometimes use a TPA for statutory data reporting. CDX provides an option for carriers to authorize a TPA to access and submit data on their behalf. When this approval is granted, the TPA is then able to establish a TPA Primary Administrator. The TPA Primary Administrator is responsible for creating and managing additional CDX user accounts for your TPA and configuring file transmission and communication preferences.
